  • Thank you mummy2girls and honeysuckle

I plan on reselling the snowsuit. It's a really nice brand and defintely isn't going to get worn out!

It's only because I love buying toys and this way I can justify it as its for Christmas shhhhhhh don't tell anyone!
  • Hello everyone

I've had a great day, work this morning and then afternoon with the little lady. I've finally received a letter from the tax credit people. It's asking for more information so I've got all that paperwork together and I'll post it tomorrow. Fingers crossed I hear something positive soon.

I've not done very well on the no spend days. In fact I've done terribly as I haven't managed one this week and every other week since I started this diary on the 1st August I have managed 3 each week! Anyway the spends have only been small so it's not all bad and there's still 3 days to go until the end of the week.

Tomorrow I'm meeting a friend and I've a ton of housework to do so that's my plan!
  • A nice day with the little lady. We went to visit a friend which was lovely. She is all bathed and in bed and I'm sat down with a cuppa and a biscuit!

It has been a no spend day! Finally!! I've been quite productive in that I posted my tax credits form, went to the bottle bank, delivered something to a friend and did a load of washing and a tidy round! Pretty happy with that!

Bank accounts are looking pretty healthy although it's a long way until pay day so dont want to get over confident and there is still a lot of bills go out!

    Nothing else to report x
  • Great day today! The little lady and I went out for a spot of lunch and a trip to the farm yard, petting zoo! She loved it and we are both shattered now. It was quite a spendy day but worth it! The little lady is with her dad tomorrow I just need to think of something to occupy me for the day.

Tomorrow I will write up the spends for the week eek! Its a bit annoying that I haven't been paying more of the target cc. I'm just so conscious that I might leave myself short nearer the end of the month. Hopefully I'll have something left over and that can go towards it.

  • Morning SMWP,

Sounds like you've had a lovely weekend so far. Hope you can find something spend free to do today :rotfl:.

No point in leaving yourself short for the end of the month otherwise the CC will end up making an appearance xx

  • Haha unfortunately my day didn't turn out to be spend free at all, oops! I went shopping..... It's the only pastime I have that and socialising! Neither of which are cheap! I bought a lovely dress (in the sales) and a dress for little lady (in the sales and a size bigger to bottom drawer so I'm prepared for when she next has a growth spurt) I've also bought a coat and a dressing gown but they were with a voucher that I had so only cost a few quid extra.

I'm just getting myself organised for work tomorrow! I'm thinking it will be a busy week, but hopefully not an expensive one!

are they really your only pastimes? Is there something you used to do, but haven't in recent years? I've taken up knitting again in the last year which keeps me busy when I'm stuck at home on an evening. If I had free day time time, I'd probably visit museums and art galleries. I miss wandering slowly round these places, if we go now it's a toddler speed rush around each exhibit.

  • It's true I've never been a hobby kinda gal but I love travelling. I spend the evenings researching trips that right now I can't take. Shopping and socialising have become the go to things to do to cheer myself up or spend my time when I'm not with the little lady. This is what I mean when I say I've been thinking a bit about me recently. I spend a lot of time making sure the little lady (and others in my life) are having a lovely time and I oh course enjoy being with her. Time to think up some new hobbies, cheap ones!!!
  • Good day at work, exhausting! It's been a no spend day today and the same yesterday! Only spent £18 odd quid on Monday so it's a good start to the week!

Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow! But feeling positive about getting this target cc gone!
