  • NurseMoneySaver1122,

Just checking if you sorted this? Were you able to challenge the decision?
I have received a similar decision stating i missed to address the concern from a letter they sent sometime in 2014 and hence outside the 3 years to make a claim.

Unless they sent them to the wrong address or you have been incapacitated since 2014, it’s game over.
    helpful tips
    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

You cannot challenge a timebar unless the address was incorrect and you are no longer a customer of the bank. (if you were still a customer and the address was incorrect then a FOS decision published ruled against the consumer for failing to tell the bank the correct address in accordance with their T&C)
  • I had the same thing with Lloyds - I chased them by phone to be told that they had sent 8 letters and in the absence of a response they closed my claim - I didn't receive any of them. They then re-sent the letters and I received one of them; so a total of 12/16 letters sent and only one received.

I asked them if they had a problem with their post room and they said not, but this seems very suspicious.

You weren't sent CCL letters though, so not the same thing at all.

I agree it's annoying if mail is not delivered.
    Is it the Bank's fault?
Are the Post office to blame?
Has it gone unopened into the Recycle bin?

    Has the dog eaten it?:)
    All very suspicious... ;)

Fully explained (more than two years ago now) at the beginning of this thread.

CCLs were invitations Banks sent to customers known to have had PPI inviting them to make a complaint if they believed they were mis-sold the insurance.

While thousands of people who might otherwise have never made a complaint were prompted to do so, those who ignored the invitation (for whatever reason) are now subject to a time bar.
