Snipping tool sounds too painful for us men to want to be anywhere near.
Why would i want to save a screenshot in the screenshots folder?
I usually want to press printscreen then paste into whatever program i am using. Auto saved to a file would eventually just add clutter or give me an extra task instead of press the paste key.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Snipping tool is great, but remember that it takes an image, not a document copy. By default, it usually saves to Libraries -- Pictures -- My Pictures.
by default it saves to the last folder that it used
Plus image is auto saved to clipboard so very easy to paste into something else
can also capture drop down menus etc, which is handy if documenting some way of doing something0 -

But even then when I use it, as with all other screen shot tools I have difficulty finding where the image has been stored.
Using win10 and when I jusy searched for 'clipboard' I got 'no results found for clipboard'.
Any answers? It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -
when you click 'save' you choose the location to save the file. have you tried searching for 'capture'"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

Some scenery in films I like so much I save them for desktop backgrounds. The way I save in W10 and I assume W7 is the same is press prt.sc, locate Paint via search, press ctrl 'v', go to 'crop', right-click the area to crop, click crop again, go to 'save as', it asks for location and that's it. It takes less than a minute.0

#Suspects spam but isnt sure enough to hit the button
Edit : necromancing a 4 month old thread to post that = spammer0 -
I also use snipping tool, and choose save to 'desktop' option. It's easier to find.
Image can then be dragged and dropped to whichever file you choose, or deleted if not needed.
Less clutter buzzing around PC.0 -
I normally use Evernote for Screen Grab. Very pleased with results.0
