I repeat what I said - There are thousands and thousands of sites like these (mimicking legitimate websites), the one you found is the tip of the iceberg. Just ignore, you'll never get them all taken down and could waste a life time trying.Inforapennyinforapound wrote: »its just that it seems to have hijacked a legitimate business which is a shame for that business.
Are you going to email the other 100,000s of businesses that are also affected?!Inforapennyinforapound wrote: »I have emailed sue clark.
You don't get to choose what other people post on a public forum. Perhaps you should take your advice and not post on here if you don't like what others have to say.Inforapennyinforapound wrote: »And please folks if you have nothing useful to say then dont bother.
And how many non-internet savvy people are actually going to read this post who would have shopped on that fake website anyway?! My guess is none.Inforapennyinforapound wrote: »It is so easy to be childish and sarcy on a forum. Not all people are internet savvy and to the posters above, this warning was not for you but to warn the less savvy to beware. Not everyone is as clever as you.0 -

Regarding your last point about non internet savvy people seeing this post, well i suggest you search the forum and read how many people that use the forums do get scammed by fake websites and lose money!
And no, i will not email thousands of businesses strangely enough but i will maintain my stance that it is better to do 'something' than 'nothing'.
This forum is about helping each other and i will stick with that principle. Thanks anyway.0 -
By all means post about it to make yourself feel better but don't kid yourself that you are saving hundreds of people from being scammed. Non-internet savvy people are the type of people who do no research whatsoever before getting themselves scammed. They are just dazzled by cheap prices and hand over their credit card details without a second thought.Inforapennyinforapound wrote: »Regarding your last point about non internet savvy people seeing this post, well i suggest you search the forum and read how many people that use the forums do get scammed by fake websites and lose money!
You asked what you should do about it and the best answer you received was to ignore it. That is still the case. You've done 'something' by just posting about it - maybe it will save someone who finds your post by searching one day, although that's less likely because of the way you have posted it.
The following site is far more useful for those trying to dodge a scam - https://www.scamadviser.com/is-sueclarkceramics.co.uk-a-fake-site.html0 -
Consumers who have bought from "scam" sites typically do their homework after the fact so posting warnings is a fairly pointless exercise.0

Some posters are so rude. I guess it must make them feel good by trying to belittle other posters. Thanks OP for alerting a less internet savvy person to this scam site.0

Totally agree. What harm can it do to alert anyone?
Those posters are just negative. Their posts have added nothing and therefore of no value so why post at all?.
I always attempt to help people and if i see a post that i can assist then i will add something, but if i cant then i wont.0 -
Sensitive types aren't you! The link I posted above is far more useful than anything you have posted so I've added far more value than you

Sensitive,no but realistic yes.
And unlike you i am humble enough to state that your link is interesting and useful and would have been better further up the thread.
Hey-ho and a double:D0 -
Silly childish remark. I will not stoop to this level.
