Hi VLT only just seen your reply - I say go for it!
My 5 year old son and I have got hooked and did another one this weekend just gone. He has a little stall set out with his toys and videos and his cards (pocomon, Dr Who etc) and he raised £27 himself
I sold all sorts - clothes, shoes, books, old phones, old games and made about £100 ish so it is well worth doing - plus you feel so virtuous as you've really decluttered at home. we sold most stuff for £1 or 50p as just wanted to declutter.
Everything that didn't go we have stuck in our caravan as we won't be using it till next year and we'll do another boot sale in the spring.

There's apparently a good one at/near Cuerden Valley Park in Preston? I am from Gloucester and we used to go to some really good ones there and in Cheltenham, but I have never been to one in Preston................0
