It really depends on how badly you want the item. If you bid bearing in mind the postage costs (which most people do) then increasing them would make the item less of a bargain. Ultimately the seller is responsible for checking the accuracy of the postage costs. Are they a newbie? In which case it could be a genuine mistake. If they are an established seller I would politely e-mail them back stating that you have factored in the total cost of the item and do not want to pay any more. If they don't send it to you you can file a non-performing seller dispute. Someone will be along to tell you how to do this soon as I'm not really sure myself.0

Hi,I'm sorry but the fact that they underestimated the cost of postage is not your fault or problem, they should have weighed the item in the first place to get the postage right.
I would send them a polite email to say that you have paid for the item and postage as stated in their auction and expect the item to be sent to you immediatly,if they don't send it file a non performing seller with ebay and a non reciept of item to get your money back from paypal.
I am luckly enought that I have not underestimated any items that I have sent yet,but have recieved items that I have bought that the postage is way over what I have paid in the auction.

Did you pay much for the item?
If it's something you want and the price was reasonable, then paying a few quid more is not such a bad thing.
Sometimes people just make mistakes, so many people on ebay now are newbies and you have to cut them a bit of slack.0 -
dont pay a single penny more,i sell things on ebay and in the past have under estimated my p&p,but i offered the item, they won and paid for what i asked so it was my problem not the buyers,so i honoured the sale and sent the item off.
if they dont send it just file an item not recieved dispute.
if you bought an item in a shop paid for it and then went to leave and the sales assistant said to you the price on the tag was wrong you need to pay more would you do it? i dont think so.i know i wouldnt....work permit granted!0 -

Ebay by its very nature is full of people with little experiance of running mail order businesses.
Sometimes people make mistakes, if it's only a few pounds, is it really worth getting het up over?0 -
I agree with goldspanners.
I too have made mistakes with p&p on items and underestimated what it would cost to send out. When this has happened to me, I just kick myself, send out the item and try not to think about it any more.
Sellers do make mistakes, but had they over-estimated and charged too much, I wonder if they would have reimbursed you!!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
If you have already paid and they have made the mistake they should pay the extra cost and just send you the item its not your fault if they made a mistake and paying more on postage will make it not as worth it for youNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0

Don't pay anymore money to this seller.I have also underestimated postage costs,as its my fault I would never expect the buyer to pay more.If seller still will not post item to you take up the dispute option.0

Don't bother replying to the seller.
Just wait for them to send it - that's what they offered - that's what you paid for.
If not received after 10 days initiate an Item Not Received Process ...
