Looks even more perfect - many thanks. This is a splendid flower which I really want to have in my garden.

Now to chase it down to a supplier.

Think I'll get one too, :D

We have the bog standard Inula helenium, I think, but it would be more at home in the wild garden.

Thanks - tried them, however the minimum mail order spend was £25.00 and then it'd be £19.60 to get them to me. It's so far away from where I live that the plants would probably be very dead by the time they reach me.

Think I've found a supplier nearer!

    Oh, I would.

I'd guess those two can't be that keen on mail order. They're handy enough for me if I'm heading for the motorway.....

My three plants arrived today from Clare Austin nursery, £4.95 postage so a steal. They are now having a drink before going outside though it's blowing a storm here so I'll keep them in until tomorrow.

I'm so pleased with them so huge thanks to those who helped identify the flowers.

Just a wee update to this thread.

Two of the three plants flowered this year - the other one is in a different spot and didn't do much, hasn't died but not too happy.

    However, I am very happy!
