ParkingEye Parking Notice at Hotel

Hi Fruitcake, I believe they applied to DVLA for my details but I don't know if they had done that with the second notice or just used my details from the first one to send the second one.
I have received an email from DVLA saying that the details they have with them isn't correct so I'm checking my V5 to ensure it's correct.0 -
The coach of the football team has weighed in to the whole debacle. He's talking to the hotel now to cancel the tickets and to tell the PPC to desist. I'm awaiting his feedback. He says he's been using that hotel for 10 years now to lodge his team when they come to England. I believe he's threatened to tell the organisers to stop using the hotel. The football tournament organiser was also informed by the team coach.0

Great stuff Pessa. These hotels that take on private parking companies, who offer their services free of charge, provided they can rape and pillage the customers, have to realise it is not without consequence for their business.
I think the football coach has a great bargaining chip, with the potential loss for the hotel of a couple of dozen (I guess) regular annual clients - all as a result of aggressive parking penalties for the most minor of errors.
Come back and tell us the good news that these have been cancelled. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Oh yes, Umkomaas. I'm buzzing right now. Thank you to everyone who contributed and advised me today. I wrote to the head of the group of Hallmark hotels. He replied and told me he's forwarded the email to the manager of the hotel where the incident took place.
The manager sent me the email below:
Thank you for your email regarding your recent parking fine.
I do apologise for this happening and the stress that it has caused.
Can you please send me the registration number of your vehicle as soon as possible and I will ensure that the fines are taken off by Parking Eye.
For your information should you be in the hotel in the future please pop up to reception and enter your registration number into the screens at reception to ensure you do not receive a fine.
I have sent him my car registration. Yippee!!!0 -
What a result - and in record time. The real power that a complaint to the key player has. We always advise complaining, but the natural inclination of the British public at large is to be totally supine when faced by any 'authority' (not that any PPC is an 'authority') and most would do anything (sometimes even paying) to avoid complaining.
Just be aware that you do need written confirmation from PE that all charges are cancelled to be absolutely sure. You can check on the progress of the cancellation by logging on to the PE website as if you were going to pay the charge - that will give you each charge's current status. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
