    This.

If and when you come to sell the place I'd imagine the number of buyers who'd regard a glittery bathroom as a positive selling point is somewhat on the small side.
When we sold our semi in 2008, it occurred to us that viewers might not like the life size flamingo our girls had painted on the wall in the downstairs cloakroom. However, after a few viewings, we realised that no one would see it hidden behind the door. The only time anybody did, was when it faced them whilst sitting on the loo.

We sold the house to a couple who probably didn't know. I visited them a few years later and noted it was still there. Perhaps their kids liked it. My own opinion was that it had a slightly evil look, not helped by the large beak......

I personally like a bathroom to look shiny and clean, so i don't think that a bit of sparkle on the wall is the worst thing. People have sparkle in their kitchen or bathroom worktops, or in mosaic tiles - it's not really much different.

As someone else said, you can get it at B&Q to mix in or go for a wallpaper with glitter pattern instead.
I think it will look nice (without the pink fluffy toilet seat cover).

As for selling on, you could paint it any colour and someone will likely paint over it eventually anyway.

Sounds a bit council. Any garden furniture made of pallets, Love, Life, Laugh stenciled on the walls? Trampoline in the front garden? Pictures of wolves, dolphins etc. If you can answer yes to any of these go for it, all hope for you is already lost, if not, time for a sanity check!

Hope the glitter leaves a smooth finish.

Our previous owners used "suede" effect paint in a room.
It is literally orangey paint with sand in it and the walls feel like sandpaper!

Well, that's how it looks in our case. Our daughter loves her sparkly bed.

Just trying to stop their slide onto Jeremy Kyle. All starts with a bit of glitter, a few less teeth and wham, on ITV of a morning asking yourself how did we get here? Glitter.

If you're intent on doing this (or your wife is), I'd suggest lining the walls first with lining paper, and then painting on top, that way it should be easier to remove at a later date by steaming, rather than having to rub the walls down.
