Is there much demand in your area for garages? Our garage is like yours - away from the house and too narrow for a car but we store all the garden furniture's, bikes etc in it. I think buying a house without a garage would put many buyers off. Unless you are in central London where space and storage is a premium I don't think many people would buy a garage. Might rent it though.0

So about 6.71% of households have a motorbike. This will be a bit lower due to some having multiple motorbikes, but then you're after people that want a garage, which includes jetskis/lots of bicycles/whatever else.

I wanted a new build with a garage but all the ones I viewed where detached and had no power or lighting
I wanted somewhere I could work on my motorbike in the winter and the lack of power was a deal breaker , I opted for a place with a flagged rear garden and I will buy a large workshop/shed instead and run power in from the house0 -

We don't have a driveway. We have a front garden which could be converted into a driveway big enough for 1 car, but there may be problems getting planning permission for the dropped kerb due to a tree in the vicinity.
There's a reasonable amount of parking on the road. It's double yellow, or permit parking so you don't get many non-residents around. You're allowed up to two permits per household, but they're only 2/3 bed houses so I think it's probably rare to need more more than 2 permits. The residents are not allocated spaces, it's just a free for all but there's plenty of space currently. Of course all this could all change in a few years.
Just on this don't assume it'll be rare there people would only need 2 permits. My Dad's street has 2/3 bed houses, they have 3 cars at the house parked out front/round the corner (both parents and my little sister who still lives at home each have cars due to their jobs).
A neighbour has four cars (husband and wife, each child has their own car), a few other neighbours have similar.
All the houses on the street have garages which are small for current 5 door cars, but the garages are used for storage. My Dad being self employed would be lost without his garage (down an entry/ginnel/whatever you call it depending on area) as he keeps a lot of the equipment in it and entrance for the entry is behind locked gates all the residents chipped together to buy to add for security. More often than not my Dad and some of the other neighbours park one car (although the smaller car) outside their garage if parking is tight or for the extra security.
It's something that has tempted me for the house I'm buying, although mine is an integrated garage and I'll be converting it in a few years as there is a drive way which fits two cars so I'll be able to park and have a more secure storage area rather than a garage door.0
