Word & Excel "not responding"

One thing you can easily try, is changing your default printer to a different one (even one of the generic ones).


I have seen this issue in the past caused by iffy printer drivers, because on opening, office apps communicate first with the print driver so they can decide between themselves how to display things (Non techie description)

Thank you very much. Hubby did this and went back a week and everything seems to be okay now. I wonder why my profile was corrupted? Anyway, I'm happy again. Saved £60 by not calling out an IT expert. Once again, many thanks.
