It's probably interference, a guy I used to work with had the same issue, it was at certain times of day.
This is not a work environment, this is in my spare bedroom and nothing changes, I even removed my cordless phone and turned off my router, made no difference
I just bought myself a new mouse.over 73 but not over the hill.0 -

Nothing changes..... In your house. Doesn't mean nothing changes.
Neighbour WiFi, neighbour using AV transmitters, mobile phone mast down the road, cheap and illegal alarm system installation somewhere in the street, the list goes on......
The was an entire street where peoples car alarms would go off all day long, took years to track it down to a home alarm system putting out interference.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I've used an M235 for about 5 years. Occasionally there's a poor connection to the battery solved by removing and refitting it otherwise no problem.
Is yours optical? If so have you cleaned the lens?0
