Happier with stick blender and jug2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000 -
My son bought one in the summer when he moved into his new flat and says they're great for thick milkshakes and frozen cocktails but I'm not sure that's what you'll be making!
I did notice somewhere in the Amazon description it said to change the blades every 6 months which seems expensive and implies that they're not as robust as they imply.
For soups I'd get a stick blender and use it in the pan you make it in0 -
Jackie, what would you be using it for? Soups, smoothies??0

Soups and perhaps decent grating for cheese as my tiny little Kenwood electric grater doesn't hold a lot, also for mincing beef My jug blender that I have is OK but not much good for the last twoI have restricted movement in my right arm through Lymphodema and find grating stuff a bit difficult at times and thought a slightly more robust one would be better. I also make milk shakes and smoothies for my DGS and possibly coffee beans as well

I love mine, but I mostly use it for smoothies and making sauces, hummus, etc. It is also good for grating cheese. However, it isn't really suitable for hot food items so you'd have to let the soup cool before blending it. I use a stick blender for soups.0

I have one and it mostly chops fine for veg and is great for smoothies. I don't have a grater attachment. Not tried for mince either. For soups i prefer a hand blender to avoid transferring hot liquid.0

Jackie my eldest has a NutriBullet it's great for his smoothies and protein drinks, but not much else.
I would recommend a Bamix hand blender, they are expensive but very powerful and robust
Or you could join me with my Thermomix - I wouldn't be without it, and am considering buying a second.... :eek:Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
