If everyone posting comps has stuck to the general convention for thread titles, i.e. E: dd/mm xxxxxxxxx(comp details)

then sorting by Thread Title means that, with a bit of paging up and down, you should be able to locate comps based on their closing date.

If the search isn't working, this can be a useful way of checking that a comp hasn't already been posted before you add it.

I agree, thats the last time I do a comp on myoffers, It doesnt qualify as a prize if you have to jump through hoops to get it.
