I only ever search with the URL of the comp - should I do more?

I find the search sticky confusing...

Ricky, I don't know if this will help but on the Sticky Search thread roll down to the Advanced Search part.

If you look at the screenshot, I use the parts labelled up numbers: 1, 5 & 6.

• In part 1 (keywords) I usually take the main part of a URL & type it in there
  eg, if http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/competitions/show/id/2704 is the page the competition is on - I will put as my keyword: goodtoknow.co.uk
  
  I only use the main part of the comp URL as sometimes comps do change location
  
  (if that brings back lots of threads then I may use a word that loosely describes the prize too eg, goodtoknow.co.uk watch to narrow it down slightly).
  .
• In part 5 (search in Forums) I scroll down the list & find Competitions Time
  .
• In part 6 (Also search in child forums) I make sure that it is ticked - this means it will also search in the Game Over Forum & Regular Competitions Forum
  .
• Then I click on Search now & it will bring back a list of results

I really hope that has helped but if not then yell back & I'll try something else

i just do the first 3 pages generally ill more than likely 2 hungover to care when i come back:rotfl:
