Competitions Discussion Thread Part 3

I am new to this and I have noticed a lot of competitions say they will announce the winner on the web site.

So as not to miss out just incase I win, how do people keep track of what they have entered and when to revisit the web site to see if they have won.

OMG !!!!!! .. my DH has just taken a call for me from a Tenerife company and he though it was a sales call so hung up on them. I have entered comps for hols in Tenerife and assume that this would be a winning call or not ??? Do you get companies ringing you after entering a comp ??

You do get companies ringing up re comps, I hope this is a win and not a time share thing, let us know

Hi, I'm fairly new to the site? Taking in so much my head is spinning! lol

Can anyone give me advice how and where to start entering competitions? Are certain types better than others? etc....

Hello and welcome! :hello: All the competitions are listed in the competitions time forum. As you've probably already noticed there are loads there already and new ones are added each day. I would just advise entering any competitions that you are particularly interested in or the ones where you will be able to use the prizes should you win. Don't be disappointed if you don't win anything straight away though. It sometimes takes a little while for the wins to start arriving (but it is definitely worth it in the end).

If you have any further questions I would advise posting them in the Competitions Discussion thread (at the very top of the competitions time forum).

Hi and welcome to the site, as previous just enter the comps you want to and enjoy them, i have yet to win but it doesnt stop me entering or posting, have fun.

Hi there :hello: I've only been comping since around christmas and had a win mid january, small win but a win none the less.

I set up a seperate email address for competition entries and registration for sites, so that my regular email account doesn't get overwhelmed with confirmation emails, newsletters etc.

Beware it does get addictive and Good Luck

It appears there are some who enter every compo whether or not they actually want the stuff just for the sake of reaching £2008 in 2008.

Are you saying that all of us are going to win something at some point?

It can be really confusing when you first start to try to figure out which competitions you have already entered.

I recommend going to the bottom of the page and sorting my thread start time, that way you get all the competitions in the order they were posted and you can work through them. Remember to hit the thanks button on the post you entered - that way if you get confused you simply open the post and see the thanks button is gone - you have already entered!

I tend to sort and then open different windows with each page, as things sometimes move so quickly that by the time you have worked through one page 20 more comps have been posted and that first page has slipped half way down the second.

oh, and I don't know anyone who enters everything whether they want to win it or not! I think all of us pick and choose to some extent.

2.get new email
3.get signature for emailso ur address is there
4.start on page 340 and work your way backward or do the dates ending soon which iwaanabeonthebeach does a fantastic job
