  • I have a few competition blogs/forums set up in an rss reader and check it out during the day when I'm bored or on a break, choose the ones I like and leave the rest. Takes about 20 minutes if that.
  • I saw the same program and decided to try comping!
problem is you have to be selective and you have to be compulsive- if you hope to be a winner (at some time). But it is good fun and it may be rewarding and you must understand this--- I have found that the community of compers are quite helpful and open with any new (players) and it is up to yourself to make of it as you will!
Peronally I love the idea , but it can take over your life, and that is what is worrying me.I wish all compers the very best in life - or whichever reality they reside - carry on !!! Like yourself I have only been involved for a short while so take it as you see it>
    yours awesomeorson!!
  • I started comping about 3 weeks ago and seem to have been at it non stop ever since as I have been trying to catch up on all the older stuff. Trouble is I did not join right away and even then did not know till a bit later about clicking "thanks" and I was trying to hold in my head all the comps I had entered which got difficult with all the similar prizes and questions. Now I've finally caught up and today for the first time only responded to new posts. I have won 4 things so far but I am helped by my OH keeping me supplied with tea and meals but he does say that if I don't win big soon he will go on strike lol. I was doing 200 and more a day for a while so I'm glad to slow dwn a bit now. Phew thought there would be about 3 pages of comps was I wrong LOL

I joined last summer, took 3 months to win 3 finger puppets worth about £1.50. Then 2 Mascaras, not cheap, Smoke Carbon Monoxide detector £30.
Now hooked. Best win last week £150 worth of Beef. Sadly getting obsessive and each morning disappointed cos no winning emails (WEM's) Having said that beef was a phone call. Now gotta win a new freezer. Spend 4/5 hrs most nights but only enter what I or my kids/Gkids will use.

Good luck all new compers, I still consider myself new, finally got courage to post my first comp find this week, still cant do clicky but we are all learning.
  • Lol misread that must be the "not cheap" that threw me thought Mascara was a make of car. Made me and my OH laugh so much at my mistake that we were crying- lucky I was not wearing any- mascara that is

  • Hi

Am off work at the moment after an op on my leg - so comping like mad!!!

How do you generally find out if you have won something??? Do they email - as I am worried (if I ever win  ) it will go to my spam box!

Also - generally how long after the comp closes are you notified?

    thanks

    xx
