I didn't think about it until a couple of weeks ago, you can copy and post a smiley. Make your post, then copy a smiley off another posting, and edit it on to your own ~ quicker than going through the advanced bit ~ or, was it just me now realising sooner that you can do that! !:)

Welcome Daazathomp :) It is a friendly forum here. It is a shame that some people have been a bit offended over duplicate posts. No one on here means to be offensive. All newcomers are welcome and thanks to those that have tried posting comps.

The forum has grown beyond all recognition in a year. I started using it about this time last year (although I was a comper before that). At that time it was not uncommon for someone posting a comp to get 4 - 6 thanks because so few people used the forum. Now it can be over 200 thanks for a good prize. The speed and scale of growth has made it a big task for the regulars to welcome and include everyone, but we can assure you if you want to belong we you are welcome.

    Welcome to the Comping forum.

We're a friendly lot and very happy to see new names (if not faces). We love to hear of anyone winning prizes.

Hi...just a question....does anyone use postalcomps.co.uk to find competitions? I only ask because it is normally updated every 2 weeks but it hasn't been updated since 23rd September??!! Anyone here have any ideas why?

You are so right, I had to take a break from comping this year because of some family stuff and coming back on here was lovely, it was like coming home. Everyone is so kind and helpful. I'd missed all the girlly gossipy side of things as well. I'm still not able to be on here as much as I'd like but thanks to everybody who make this such a great place to come. :T Welcome Dazzathomp and any other Newbie ( although I still class myself as one because I'm still learning)

Just a favour to ask, Ive had crohns disease for 10 years now and have just been sent this link to sign a petition to the government to get them to look further to developing a vaccination for crohns treatment.

If you could sign up that would be brill x

My mum's cousin has had crohns disease all his life (he's in his 50's now) and has had to have numerous ops on his bowel. He's always been really positive though and was a dep headmaster for years. Hope it all works out! :D

Have done that for you cherw1981, I know what you mean about trying to get funding for researchinto health issues, I keep signing petitions for ME/CFS research but they hardly ever seem to get anywhere, lets hope yours does!

I know its really very frustrating - I think alot of chronic illnesses get overlooked due to lack of understanding or publicity. Fingers crossed things are going to change for the better soon. Thankyou for signing it :D
