I bought some cartridges through Inkclub and Quidco begining September, and am still waiting for them to even process them ~ so don't rely on the £9 from them
I agree though about the full version of Roboform. Its brill for filling in the forms fully as passcards which you can't do on the free version. If you have a nationwide account you can get it for about £14 and worth every penny.

Too much advertising and referrals for my liking on Loquax and if they don't like you they just block your login. It seems to be very much a commercial money-making venture for the owners. I certainly never found "a sense of community", far from it.

My advice would be avoid at all costs and stay here!

I cant even seem to get on loquax using both firefox and internet explorer it doesn't seem to let me in to see the comps, I had signed up and everything :S I think I read somewhere you need to post on the forums first (or maybe I'm going mad) but it never even let me post anything/page never loaded. Very odd!

I have exactly the same problem. I registered with them and entered comps from there before I discovered mse but then stopped using loquax to spend all of my time on here. Now loquax won't let me back on! Nevermind, I don't need them anyway!!! :rotfl:

MSE is by far the best site I have ever found for competitions. :T

    In terms of:

    Number of comps posted.
    Answers to competitions questions.
    A friendly community spirit.
Being free from adverts and sponsored links.
Being free from links to gambling sites.
Telling you which comps are likely to generate spam.
    No "restricted" forums.
No policing of open forums to prevent you from helping people there.
    No heavy censorship.
No claiming public comps are "our property" just because we post them.

I find the best way to use sites like loquax and prizefinder is to visit near the end of the month and list closing comps to see if there are any that have been missed here. From experience however there are rarely any significant comps that haven't already been posted on MSE.
Well, you know, my ancestry isn't all hamster.
I'm one-sixteenth wolf with, you know, a little wolverine in there somewhere.

I've tried and tried with Loquax but for some reason it doesn't like my computer or vice versa, It just goes to a page cannot be shown or whatever it does. the only section I can ever get to is the forums so I usually just look at them and the local section As I just can't figure out what to do to get competitions to show up

Loquax is a free service, but that doesn't mean we run on fresh air and therefore I make no apology for running the site commercially - that said we don't sell data, we're selective on advertising and limit it to a fair amount. That's obviously not for some you.. fair enough... I think we're actually quite reasonable in the way we run.

For info though the competition service is underpinned by other commercial activity (feel free to verify via a podcast i did some months ago) - just so you "know" rather than "guess" at what we do.

As for "sense of community" - it's about as much as you put in as you take out, and judging from your limited activity on Loquax, you didn't really take part.

As for other issues - we spend hours managing the site, updating comps that earn nothing in terms of listing or clicks. It's not nice when you do that to see them then copied. Some people on here have done that a little too often - and it's not like they're helping us or our users.

If Loquax just updated comps day to day from posts made here, would you be ok with that? No you wouldn't! So we don't! I don't see why that's not deemed to fair in reverse? We're not "claiming" competitions, we're simply asking people to not use Loquax so they can then come and post on here... that's the issue.

We try and provide a good quality service for our users - whoever they are - but at the same time we have bills to pay. If it's not for you fine - I'd hope MSE or any other comping group was never discussed in this way on Loquax though. Not really fair tbh... each has it's own merits after all in trying to help people win prizes.

I am an official company representative of Loquax. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"

Jason, any ideas why a lot of peeps can't access the pages, all I get is "This program cannot display the webpage, when clicking the left hand boxes, though the daily one works ?

I once had other forum users getting funny with me for mentioning MSE actually. I only had done because someone had asked me where I'd won things from, I wasn't advertising it or making any comment that I thought it was better or anything. The attitude seems to be if you're a Loquat you're meant to be ONLY a Loquat.
