North west car park ticket in Blackpool

Bear with me, my first post on here......

Was over in England for a few days and hired a minibus, Wasnt fussed on parking the minibus on the street so parked in a NWCP on Crystal Road, car park was reasonably empty when I got there, I paid it over the phone, parked in a corner space , so I thought I was out of the way and ok. Parked on Tuesday and went to get the Minibus again on Friday but it just had been issued a ticket on the Friday morning for "not parked within the confines of an allocated parking bay'

Suppose looking back now, if car park was busy at any times I would have impeded the entry/exit of the space in front of me.

The fine is £60 if paid within 14 days, or £100 if not.

Anyway, my question is, are these enforceable ?

yes they are, if they manage to persuade a judge in small claims court

otherwise , no they arent , but only a judge can decide

please read the NEWBIES sticky thread about this topic , and follow the advice in there for your PPC (check the BPA and IPC website to see which one they use, probably the latter)
  • It's only enforceable if a judge says it is enforceable. None of us can answer your question.
If you were not the driver write to the parking firm and tell them who was so they CANNOT hold you liable. The person who was driving the car is responsible so let them deal with it. Not you! Don’t let people with an agenda tell you otherwise.
  • Thanks, there's a lot to read on that thread, so basically I contact sixt (the car hire company) and tell them not to pay north west car parks, and then send off the template to nwcp or do I wait until they contact me ?

Was over in England for a few days and hired a minibus,
    Where were you 'over' from?

Get that appeal into the PPC asap to draw them away from contacting the DVLA to obtain the registered keeper details (Sixt) which means they won't be dragged into it, knee jerk and pay the charge then charge it to your credit card along with a tasty admin fee.

Get them corresponding with you in NI, ensuring they've gone beyond 56 days so they can then no longer pursue Sixt as the RK, then once that time has expired - ignore anything further from them.

No idea what you're asking. Why by PM and not on the forum? Have you got a thread of your own?

Have you read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, because if your issue is about a private parking charge, then everything you need to know is included in the sticky.

Sorry, I totally missed where you said for me to contact nwcp first, should I fill out the template and post or do it via email?

Please start your own thread. Read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1.

You appeal via the method required by the PPC in their letter to you.
