Ta! Erm, my loaf tin is 10.5cm x 21cm and 6cm high, sorry I don't know if that's 1lb or 2!!!
DH says it's 1lb. Also now on his 3rd slice, says that when cooled it's like a chewy (in a good way) almond macaroon. So he recommends thin slices!

I could eat the mixture by the spoonfull
Its simular to the mixture you would use for an almond slice or bakewell tart.
I've set the timer for 30 mins to check it.
My ovens a fan oven so I've turned it down as you would anyway and Ill keep an eye on it.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

Wow! Yours looks amazing, it rose more than mine. Did you need to add cooking time? :T
So cool to see someone's successful pic of an impromptu recipe forced by a bad night at asda!
Makes me feel much happier about wretched egg incident!
Thanks for making a newbie so welcome Rikki and all the thankers.

I can feel your frustration - things like that always happen to me..... my worst one is I spend hours making wonderful meals for OH to say Ill just have a sandwich ta..... or its got veg in it I dont want that..... I even now blend the veg I know he doesnt think he likes before putting it in sauce for slow cooker (he says food tastes like something missing when it doesnt have my secret ingredients in, but wont eat them if he can see them!)
Do keep going - I wish you the very best in this venture.0 -
Thanks vij, you too. It's a real boost having the support of everyone here isn't it?
