  • Very similar to the Poachers lodge are the Muirloch lodge at www.piperdam.co.uk (just outside Dundee) You could get bus or train to Dundee, then taxi or bus to resort. There is a bus terminus right at the resort entrance

They have private hot tub, sauna + 4 poster. Very luxurious and secluded accom and good bar, resturaunt and spa on site as well as golf and loch fishing.
    That weekend would be £285

That looks great - thank you very much. Also love dundee, have been many times. :)

Piperdam is easy to get to, wouldn't cost very much to get a taxi there from the railway station- I'd guess £10 tops.

It is a lovely part of the world, and of course you can get the bus into Dundee City Centre and visit Captian Scott's ship Discovery, go shopping in our Overgate Centre, or just go get p!!!ed in the many bars and restaurants scattered around town.

Nearby Broughty Ferry is also very pretty- an old fishing port that was also home to the richest row of houses in Europe in the last centuries because of the 'jute barons' who brought wealth to the city. Also has loads of nice pubs, and, if you like fish, a couple of good 'chippies' where you can have a sit down fish tea.Complete with bread and butter and a cup of tea!

Have you figured out yet that I live here?:D

We have family in Dundee, and it is a lovely place to visit. It is so clean and everyone is so friendly. Also, Broughty Ferry is great - we always take a long walk along the beach, and end up at 'The Ferry', kids love going to the castle, and I love looking in a the little charity shops. :D
