Accidentally got cash out of ATM using credit card not cashpoint

I'm guessing you are using the same PIN for your debit and credit card which makes a mistake like this more likely. If so it is advisable to change your credit card PIN to minimise the chance of the same mistake happening again.
True. In my case I do have separate numbers - so got my card swallowed as I stubbornly kept typing in the same number, knowing it was "correct".0 -

Those of us old enough would have had Lloyds Cashpoint cards long before debit cards were the normTadleyBaggie wrote: »I think you are being a bit harsh, it wasn't obvious to me either. I had no idea what cashpoint was referring to.

Best not get into that because I've got 5 people who think mine was useful whereas you only have 1...

Hi. I get what you mean now, sorry, I was thinking Cashpoint meant the same as Cashline or Servicetill etc.
Hope you don't have to pay much interest on your card.

I thought ATM is an American term - Automated Teller Machine. Which UK banks call their cashiers 'tellers' ?
Sorry this adds nothing to help, I just felt narked on behalf of the OP !0 -
I do agree with you but the use of the term ATM has become commonplace. I tend to say 'bank machine' in general conversation though.I thought ATM is an American term - Automated Teller Machine. Which UK banks call their cashiers 'tellers' ?
