We are going to Majorca this week. I have a Nationwide flex plus account with free cash withdrawals. Anyone know if I am more likely to get a better rate taking out the cash when we get there or buying euros over here?

Nationwide load the exchange rate by 2%, which is a better rate then you'll get exchanging cash.0

No brainer. Take cash out there with your flex plus, get the VISA rate https://www.visaeurope.com/making-payments/exchange-rates.We are going to Majorca this week. Compare that with high street rates for selling euros.
Note: make certain you DO NOT accept any conversion rate the ATM offers you. Always take the "without conversion" option. Otherwise you'll get whatever rip-off ratethe ATM decides to offer not the proper VISA rate.0 -

I was not sure if I got Nationwide rate rather than Visa. Nationwide rate is comparable with high street which is why I came to you guys. Thanks xNo brainer. Take cash out there with your flex plus, get the VISA rate

There's no 'Nationwide rate' for cash withdrawals with your card, there's only the straight VISA rate, or the rate the ATM might like to give you if you're not careful to select 'Without Conversion'.I was not sure if I got Nationwide rate rather than Visa. The flexplus debit card offers cash withdrawals loading free abroad, whilst the select credit card offers purchases loading free,so we carry one card for each.0
