Just been on webchat with Virgin, mainly to find out if the prices they list today include the Nov increase. Now, the guy I spoke to says that if i sign up then it will be that price for the full 12 months, even if virgin increased it again in January for example ( a la Talktalk, I guess). Now, I have the printout of the transcript, and a log of it saved, but has anyone else been told this, as I think I could be swayed if stuff isnt going to increase every 5 minutes?

The web chat isn't the contract, so irrespective of what was said on that, is not the agreement you will finally adhere to.0 -
If you want a provider that doesn't increase yearly, don't go with vm.0

All providers tend to follow the linerent increase yearly
However VM are particularly regular at increasing BB and TV prices towards the end of the year or Autumn0 -

Actually that's not 100% correct. Any verbal or written statements made by the company will typically form part of the contract.
(Otherwise a salesperson could say or write down anything to persuade you to buy something - then claim that what they said or wrote was not part of the contract.)
But if the written t&cs contradict what a salesperson has said/written, it would become a very messy case to argue.0
