    Thanks OP for starting this thread, it prompted me to check with my brother (driving from just outside Norwich to Stansted on Wednesday) to check he was aware of these roadworks- he wasn't, but he is now!
    Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

    Those of you coming from the Norwich direction,can you not come off at the last junction past Cambridge,and follow the old A11 through Ugely to Bishops Storford to rejoin at Birchanger,or is the whole junction affected?
    The route via the A12 is quite a hike round,and the section of A120 from Colchester to Braintree is horrible,not to mention the delights of the A140 to Ipswich.

    And that's assuming that the A12 itself is congestion/hold up free - although as there is actually no 'r' in the month (ie there's no 'r' in 'August') you might be lucky! :D
