I could do with a new one and are looking for recommendations. The main requirements are,
1. A clock display that does not illuminate the whole room. A lot seem to these days.
2. Would love dab radio but would tolerate fm only.
3. Reliable and not likely to break after 6 months.
4. User friendly.
5. Not too pricey.
6. I don't rule out it having other features(cd, Usb slot)if overall it's highly recommended.
7. And of course it must have alarm settings and a snooze button.

A cheap tablet? My tablet is a great alarm clock with highly configurable alarms. No FM or DAB radio, though, but I can use it to listen to radio via Internet.0 -

Thanks, we have a tablet but really looking for something I don't need to power by battery and charge all of the time. Do they have a snooze button type function anyway?0 -

There's a huge number of alarm clock apps.
The one I use has a touch screen snooze button. Tap the screen and you can sleep for another nine minutes, or however long you've set the snooze interval for.
Turning the alarm off requires dragging an item from one place of the screen to another.
I think I can also configure the app to use the volume buttons as snooze buttons. But tapping the screen is the most I can manage for the first 27 minutes, or so, every morning.0 -
A customised search on Amazon gets me the ones I'd be looking at...0

If you're looking for something suitable for a kipper, dab radio isn't the sole requirement. You need something with plenty of bass and a good tuna too. I think a usb slot is a red herring, but a bright display might be a good idea if you don't want to flounder around in the dark. Just don't buy one from a shark,though.0 -

The desire for dab is better sound and more stations to choose from. No, dont want a bright display illuminating my bedroom, old clock radios managed to be bright enough to see without illuminating the room.0 -
Doing quick look myself on Currys website and found a Roberts dreamtime 2 for £34 but it has some bad reviews. Also found sandstrom sdabxcr13 for £35 that looks ok. Theres a Roberts ortus1 as well but that's a bit pricier.0
