maximum CTC is about £61 (ish) per week for each child. At least that's what i get.

It wouldn't be the same for each child as you only get the family element once. One child max is approx £64 and 2 children max approx £117 (assuming no disabilities)

Sorry Icequeen can ypu please clarify what ypu mean by "if you are CTC only..." do you mean only that and no jsa?

I'm really just trying to suss out of we get around 100 p.w. Or 200 p.w. - as a family of 4 that makes all the difference.

    Thanks again
As stated to you previously you'll get both [/QUOTE]

I meant CTC only as opposed to claiming Working tax credit (WTC) and CTC. As others have said, you'll get CTC in addition to CBJSA but the CBJSA counts as income.

Just make sure you tell them it is CBJSA and DO NOT tick the box on the form for income-related JSA.

if they are both contributions based claims, then you would claim individually and both receive £73 ish a week plus CTC
