NEWSPAPER SUMMARY - Saturday 6th October
Comments
-
I'm very surprised the first post doesn't include the following:
Free National Geographic DVD: Mountain Gorillas, The Lost Film Of Dian Fossey, with the Daily Telegraph today.
In tomorrow's Sunday Telegraph, another DVD from the same series entitled 'Ultimate Shark'
Appears to be part of an ongoing series in the coming fortnight, to be collected from WH Smiths.
NB
Could whoever does tomorrow's Newspaper Summary thread include this please.
Thanks

Re the sun, I am fairlycertain is a token collect for a free ticket much like the one in the express earlier in the year for a free entry. i don't think it is a 2 for 1 as there is a two for one coupon printed in the paper today already, so why then ask you to collect tokens?????0
-
Thanks so much to O.P. for early posting about the Daily Mail voucher. I successfully used 2 of these today & my barcodes were fuzzy.
Can I just saw that in my experience with previous D.M. tokens I find it best to use them up within 7-10 days of issue as my Tesco has changed their acceptance ruling on these several times now.0 -
Inside the inserts of the DM, there is a Woolworths insert with a 10% off coupon on items that are mentioned on the flyer.0

I handed a load of coupons in today including the DM book one at Tescos Chester and the SA said they were now only taking coupons for items purchased
She handed me all mine back............ Reading these posts, I will try another cashier next visit.

Don't tell me this was the city centre Tesco's. Had the same problem in Broughton Park but was looking forward to City centre couponing tommorrow.
Which age group of cashier did you have problems with?0 -
Oh yes, was the city centre one
Was a very young female, but was very determined and knew her stuff, I was surprised, never seen her before. I came away with a handfull of coupons ...........

Tried 2 different shops today using the DM £5.50 voucher the first it wouldn't scan & it wouldn't go in manually either, unless SA put it in incorrectly.
The 2nd shop the SA looked at it & said we don't accept book tokens, grrrr
If at first you don't succeed.."I took her to a supermarket,I don't know why but I had to start it somewhere" :cool:0 -
ARRRRRGGGGGGG I forgot to buy the Daily mail today. Is it always repeated in Fridays?0

Very probably, certainly hope so!
I forgot too, but at least the DM is cheaper on Fridays and we have been pre-warned here about fuzzy barcodes so we can check the papers before we buy. Having said that, it may look a bit silly to be rifling through 30 copies of the DM in Tesco, and a dead giveaway to fellow MSEers, lol!:rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
