Debit card purchase!

Hi, not really sure if this is the right board to post this on but here goes anyway!
I recently bought a pair of white Converse Dainty Ballerina pumps from a uk website. They arrived yesterday and they are not what I ordered and not the right size. I have emailed the company last night but as of yet no reply. Looking at the packaging which comes from China I know these are fake shoes. If I don't hear back from the company is there anything I can via my bank about this purchase? TIA

You can pursue it under SOGA and S750

Not when the OP stated that it was a "Debit card purchase!". Unless the OP is overdrawn on her current account.bengalknights wrote: »and S750 -
Not an entirely related answer, but these shoes regularly go on half price sale. I always keep an eye on the office website, I've grabbed 3 pairs of these in various colours half price this way

Correct - S75 only applied to Credit Cards.
You could, however, look at doing a "Chargeback" : http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/visa-mastercard-chargeback0 -
SOGA was superseded by the CRA in October 2015.bengalknights wrote: »You can pursue it under SOGA and S750 -
This is the website, http://www.ukgl.co.uk/index.php?main_page=checkout_success
I usually only buy by paypal but wanted these for a long time.0 -
Yep, it's a dropshipper.
Looking at the (now inactive) website it has scam written all over it. Contact your bank and ask to do a chargeback, but in future take a few minutes to actually look at the site you're buying from. If it seems too good to be true, it usually is.0 -
Thanks so much for your help. I will do that tonight when I get in from work. I'm usually so careful when I buy things online I could really kick myself. I'm so glad I've kept the confirmation email of my order! Thanks again!0
