How do you contact @CET when Tesco lock you out?

Tesco Bank's online login is an infuriating experience if you get locked out. They give links for specific problems which just lead to the Community Forum, which you are supposed to spend 20 minutes ploughing through to find the answer.
For example, I can't log in because they think I'm using a different browser or device which they've accepted before (I'm not). The SIM to which they would send a OTP no longer works, but the solution to this sends you to here:

Can anyone explain how to set up and verify a Community account when you can't get into your own a/c?

I thought the community account uses a completely separate login using an email address, amd your login to Internet banking has nothing to do with itI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0

The cookie Tesco Bank stores on your computer has probably either expired or has been deleted.
Why don't you call them? Number at the bottom of this page.0 -

If you want to use the forum route, you can join here.
I think 'verify' means clicking on a link in the email they send you.0 -
It's kind of your own fault for not keeping your phone number up to date.
When I lost my phone, and was not able to get a new SIM with the same number (because it was anonymous) I just called Tesco Bank and they changed the number for me. It took 5 minutes.
I don't keep a cookie so need to get the code via text every time I log in. It's kind of annoying, but I only log in once a month to move the interest away.0 -
Was it really that easy to change the OTP telephone number? I find that kind of worrying...0
-
Why do you find it worrying? They asked some questions and that was it, same as when you want to do anything on the phone with a bank.
btw, Tesco does not call it an OTP, it calls it an OTAC (access code)
I had to do the same with Santander, who does call it an OTP, and it was just as easy.0 -
Well Lloyds for example will let you change your mobile number by phone but you can't use it for seven days and they send a text to the old number to say it's been changed0

I find most things about Lloyds (and Halifax and TSB)'s internet banking annoying, but if you like being inconvenienced because it makes you feel more secure, then that's up to you.
I usually get locked out from those banks 2-3 times a year just for doing things I normally do, but from odd locations. I only stick with them because of the interest but I can't rely on them for anything important.0 -

Why would someone have to change their mobile number on a regular basis? Particularly, with many banks (like Lloyds) using calls or text for their two-factor authentication, you don't want it too easy. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I quite like Lloyds internet banking, it means using Halifax is really as its the same, TSB again is easy to use.0
