Default from vodaphone on my credit score

Hi I'm having real difficulties with vodaphone UK, I've noticed a default notice on my credit score from 2014. I've tried multiple times to get to the bottom of it but keep getting told that I they can't find any account with my information on it, so they keep saying they haven't put a default on my file... it's really affecting me now and need to get it sorted.
Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to get it sorted?
