Baked eggs go terribly well with a sprinkling of grated cheese
Mmmmmmm eggs with cheese
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I have never been able to do boiled eggs until I read this simple way in good food magazine and it hasn't failed me yet!
Bring water to the boil
Boil eggs for exactly 2 mins
Turn off the heat and leave eggs in the water for another 2 mins with lid on (good chance to get soldiers ready)
Voila!
I find this way means they are just done so if you're worried about any white not being cooked then just leave them another 30 seconds longer in the water0 -
After a disgracefully long time I have returned to this thread to say a huge thank you to those who suggested the http://www.amazon.co.uk/Egg-Perfect-Colour-Changing-Timer/dp/B0000CFGB5
We have since had perfect dippy eggs every time. Even Hubby managed it this eve, so that is one little girl you have all made very happy!
I have also brought one for my nan as a jokey christmas present as she manages a perfect egg every time regardless of how may other tasks she juggles!
Thank-you all!0 -

Also, here's a random tip: If you pierce a very small hole at the top of the egg with a pin (I use map pins) the egg does not crack!
I have one of these too. Eggs room temp (same as the device) pop them in a saucepan with cold water, bring to boil and watch devicePerfect every time!
