Collected teen from summer school, fed the boy who had no sleep at sleepover so got a house of sleepy kids. Got to arrange family haircuts for next week then a lazy day apart from finishing off tidying the boy's room.
Have updated the figures in signature as the bank loan finished today, we should get about £60 off the bank for paying off the loan too so that can go into the savings. Mortgage has gone up a bit as we had a payment holiday when I was out of work for a few months. The 3 month fund has turned into a 6 month fund but based on the minimum mortgage payment instead of the overpaying one, that means we should get to 6 months of savings much quicker. Once that's done we can overpay on the one remaining debt to reduce it while I do have a good wage coming in. Feels like we can breathe a bit at long last.
Got to spend some of the 6 month fund to pay the bills in September but hoping to refill it fairly quickly. Just got to update the blanket squares number now as I'm not sure where I'm up to at all, they got a bit scattered after mousegate in the garage!

Woohoo taxman has sent me a lovely refund and I have already emailed to get it put into my account within the next 5 days. Off on holiday tomorrow and got an 18th birthday to fund at the end of September so this will be a massive help. Might treat ourselves to a nice meal out while we're away now.

Is swagbucks actually any good? Last time I tried it it just got me half way through a quiz and said I’m not suitable. Same goes for the others I tried too.

    Any ideas?

Keep going with it, I have times when it's dreadful but other times I get loads, helps if you can get extra points or do a swago thing when one comes up.

Holiday a bit meh with a cracked windscreen on the way up thanks to a motorway stone. Being fixed on Thursday as long as it's dry and it's been torrential rain since we got here so looking unlikely. Otherwise it's a diversion on way home and a few extra hours added to our journey (plus an £85 excess). Trying not to drive too far which is tricky since we're in a fairly isolated place with just a pub & shop.

Great news re: new mortgage fix, paying off loan and tax refund. Great to have some breathing space for when you're between contracts too. All your hard work is paying off.

Sorry about the windscreen - so frustrating. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Thanks, have driven it a bit but unnerving watching the crack grow a bit, is definitely a replacement job but mostly on insurance, just £85 excess to pay. Nice being away and not having much to do atm, means I can plan ahead a bit in my head. Going to try and be really focused for school stuff so it doesn't take over my life!
