  • So my pinpoint box arrived this morning...its a little larger than I anticipated but I guess once its fitted to the back of the front door I'll get used to it being there.
Not currently on the panel but they have sent 3 emails this morning asking me to set up the box and take photos of it in situ...maybe then they will resume sending mail for it to record.

We fitted the Pinpoint device at the side of the door.  When you start receiving mail you have to leave in front of the device for 15 minutes to give time to record delivery.
    Good luck

Was a bit concerned, as I had a message from TNS saying that there was data I hadn't entered.  Double checked and my next item is not due out until 30/01, but today I received 5 items of post to log.  I don't actually think we are getting deliveries every day at the moment.  Don't normally receive that many in one go.

Also the app said I had 2 smart cards to return, so I've dealt with that and should be all up to date now!

Apart from not having received posting packs for two weeks in a row, we received a cube today - postmarked 11 Jan!

Has anyone posted a parcel using the new mailbag system please. I'm a bit confused what we do with the manifest? I assume the post office signs it, do we then keep it or do they?
    Thanks in advance

The post office scan it and then they tell me to fold it and slide it between the cable tie and the bag, then dump the bag in the corner.

The post office staff are supposed to scan the manifest which is not returned to you.

I had securely tucked the manifest into the fastening of the bag but in such a way that it could have been removed intact.  I was simply instructed to put it on a trolley and have no idea what actually happened to it.  (I was at the head of the queue and about to go to the counter when the member of staff who was helping customers use the self-serve machines directed me to the counter but instead the counter staff called to him that the bag should simply be put on the trolley.)

I also received 4 items to enter after having no post this week, One of them with a 1st class stamp was postmarked 21st January. 5 days to reach me and according to the post mark it was posted in the same city that I live in.

Today I received my first posting sack for the new parcel system. A cube of the “regular size” and a sack that is big enough for me to climb inside! Does the PO not have smaller bags?
Is this going to scream “I’m on the secret posting panel” so they no linger ask what’s in the box.

I think the cubes already do that. My post office has stopped asking me what was in them a long time ago.
