Posting Pack just arrived - the Xmas stamps just loose in the bottom.

I've got a Medium Parcel and a Cube for mid-December - on separate trips.  At least its 200pts per trip but at peak time so I'll be queueing.
I need to think of something new here...

Neither of them in the Parcel Sacks ???

Always beats any queues around here.
Just wave the manifest and lift up the sack and they tell you to put in the corner with all the others.
Last time I took one, from getting out of the car and closing the door to putting the key in again to open it, took just 17 seconds. I was only inside the PO for 10 seconds.....

... and no questions about what is inside them!

£10 for being a winner in the pinpoint draw (whatever that is).
I think it's for those who use the app to record posting i.e. pinpoints exactly which postbox you were standing next to.
I thought pinpoint was the device you installed next to your letter box which automatically recorded mail as it arrived? There was some sort of trial of this last year and whilst they told me I was going to be part of the trial, the device never arrived.

I had the Christmas stamps yesterday but not the usual ones,

I thought the December ones came in October. There is usually a slip in the pack telling you which month they are for. I usually mark the diary when I receive them. The last ones I have down I received 16th September and I have November noted by them. The previous month are noted as September. I am pretty sure I have had some in October must have forgotten to note them down

I wish I were on the Correctly Delivered survey at the moment.

Weather was so bad on Saturday I stayed in all day.  No RM delivery.

When I left the house on Sunday morning I found a small packet on my doorstep - addressed to another house.

Not only delivered to the wrong house which had no other items delivered but I wondered why the packet was not put through the letterbox (it was easily small enough) and instead it must have been wedged so that an edge of the envelope was between the door and frame.  It was very much welcomed when I took it round to the correct household - I suspect it was a valuable purchase.

One stamped to go over the counter, one labelled to go in a bag.  My lot expect you to hand over the manifest so it can be date stamped.   Mind you, if busy, they might just wave through.

Anyone know what we are meant to do with duplicate Royal Mail grey sacks? I’ve got two parcels to post on the same date (on the same manifest) but they have sent me two sacks.

Do they want them back? Or do we bin it?
  • Are both parcels the same class?

If they are not they will need to go in separate sacks. If they are they can go in 1 sack. I would pop the spare sack in the sack with the parcels.

Last time I folded it up and forced it into a postbox (not one I use for survey items)... Royal mail own the sacks.
