To post horrible & untrue statements on social media about thier ex partner when they have broken up? I get it that sometimes a partner may deserve being publically lambasted but is it not childish & immature to post stuff looking for sympathy from your friends?
There is no need for it!

I take it you've just seen something like that? I haven't, our social circles must be very different. It sounds like someone lashing out in anger when they can't think what else to do. Rather counter productive if the lies are going to be seen through, and somewhat infantile by the sounds of it.'Get Brexit done' is a lie[

I see just as much BS in reverse about how happy people are and what lovely things their OH has done or said. Half the time, in reality, I know they're bawling their eyes out after a few drinks about how awful their life is, how horrible their OH is, and how they want to leave.
I'd rather hear an honest rant or moan than the 'happy family' BS portraits some people paint

Eugh! So this!
Keep getting one who goes on and on about how wonderful her OH is, and that he works sooo hard. In reality, I know he only works a couple days a week, she struggles to pay the bills and he b*ggers off fishing for 3/4days every week leaving her to do the majority of the childcare, housework and paying of bills!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Lol I've got a similar one where he's had an affair, tells her to lose weight, makes her cry saying horrible things and leaves the housework to her. She locked herself in a loo once when he went ballistic. Then she tells people the complete opposite, and her FB pics and comments would have you thinking they're the bloody Brady Bunch!2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
Why does anything have to go on social media.
Someone I know posted saying how emotional she felt, her 9 year old daughter had just choreographed a wonderful dance to her and her husband's wedding song. Wow. What she failed to say is they had just reconciled, after a 6 week separation due to her infidelity. Sometimes posting stuff on social media just fuels ridicule.0 -
FB stands for Fictional Biography. It's paints a public picture in the furtherence of self deception.
Even the angry comments can do that to give the impression of righteous indignation.I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.0 -

A handy, instant tool all ready for somebody who is steaming mad to pour out vitriol.
Unfortunately, once it's out there, there's no putting the genie back in the bottle.
When my company first introduced the Intranet (internal communication) many years ago, we were told never ever to send anything that you'd regret.
Type it
Read it
Think about it
Read it again
Then only send it if it's what you're happy for someone to receive and read what you've written.
Pity that nobody explained that to some of the dimwit 'celebrities' who engage in childish spats on Twitter.0 -
I know its petty & should be ignored, just kind of hard to when I have removed myself from Social Media (did it months ago as I just get bored) & now we've broken up Im getting texts from friends saying "Have you seen what shes written" etc....Dwy galon, un dyhead,

Parents do it in the blurb they write about their kids when they start secondary school in Y7!!!
Rather than giving information about their child, it often turns into a rant about the ex (child's father or mother) and how their behaviour (given in detail) has disturbed their child.
Some of it is hilarious.
I had one boy who was made out to be a basket case because his dad had been screwing his best mate's mum, and still was, so this was causing him sleep deprivation, stress and trauma etc....
The whole thing sounded very recent. On getting to know this child, turns out it happened YEARS ago, he got on really well with his dad, and the sleep deprivation was caused by his mum constantly bad mouthing his dad and blaming the dad for everything! Mum had been remarried for a couple of years!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
