Husbands pay day and I've been productive so far, I've filled up his car with diesel, that was £60.

I've sorted the car tax, £66 for 6 months.
Paid off my Next account, £83

Need to fill my car with petrol on the way home from work, that'll be about £45 but should last a month.

2 weeks until son starts school, got all the uniform and shoes. Just need to order the PE plimsolls and I'm done

Went to Asda at lunchtime to pick up sons PE plimsolls, so have now got everything he needs for starting school next week.

Apart from a haircut which I'll take him for on Saturday

Cant quite believe he starts school in 7 days time!

My pay day tomorrow and all the direct debits will be coming out on Monday, so will enjoy feeling flush for a few days.

Only things planned for September is husbands car going in next week for new brake pads and on 21st we're visiting family and need to book a hotel for the night.
The local Premier Inn has rooms for £48 that night so will book tomorrow

Son started primary school last week, so far the only comment he's had about it is: "Mummy I like school but the dinners were better at nursery" :rotfl:

Now we're no longer paying nursery fees I should do a new SOA

Husbands car had the brake pads done last week, £143 including labour which was good I thought.
I've set up a standing order to transfer £100 a month into a savings account that is just for car stuff so wont get caught out again wondering how to pay for repairs.

My car is booked in for its MOT at the end of the month, they only charge me £30 as I've been going there for years.

The first payment to the Virgin card is going out on 27th September, £370. That will clear it in 28 months (its 0% for 30 months)

Pay day next Tuesday (25th) and we have £260 in the bank. All bills have gone out.

Need to put diesel in husbands car, £40 should be enough.

I'm going to keep fit class with my neighbour tonight, that's £7.50

Got food in for our planned meals up until Friday. Saturday we're hoping to get a takeaway.
So only need to buy food for Sunday and Monday and the whole cycle starts again on Tuesday

Made the mistake of going food shopping in Tesco on Saturday, never again!
    £103!!!
Wasn't all food though, we needed new knives they were £12 plus my husband got a box of beers, that was £11
Think I'm too used to Aldi prices now :rotfl:

Not very debt busting, but 89 days until Australia!

Shouldn't you have something in the holiday category for Australia?

Yes should put something in there. Since June I've been saving around £1,000 a month for Australia, currently got £2,600

Got 3 more pay days until we go (End of September, October and November) so will have £5,600.

Also got Decembers pay day while we're out there.

We're taking our Halifax Clarity card out there with us and will put all spends on that, then when we come back the savings will be sat there to clear the bill.

Husband gets his bonus in February and I get mine in March, we've agreed to just send these straight to the Lloyds card which should clear it (current balance £3,800)

Husband crashed his car yesterday and it could be written off. It never rains but it pours!

Only had it since March :(

    Oh no hope he's OK!

    Hi by the way

Oh dear hope he was ok. Is this the very expensive BMW? Almost certainly it will be written off due to exorbitant prices charged by BMW for parts.

Steer him towards a more sensible/cost efficient vehicle next time. The main thing presumably is that he was not hurt but he does seem to have an issue with cars. Of course they are built like tanks so that may have gone in his favour in keeping him safe.

Sounds like you have Australia sorted anyway.
