I'm a Windows fone user and a fan. My nokia 735 fell and smashed. To my horror, Microsoft have stopped making phones. I want to get the Lumia 650 but cant find it anywhere . CPW have it on display but wont let me buy it (odd). I've seen it on e bay , amazon but they are refurbished units. Any one know where I can get a new one? Many thanks for your help.

A very very slim chance of finding a new one now, its all going to be second hand units.

Although saying that there are 4 new units available via Amazon marketplace sellers but all over £200.

I believe most of the networks and retailers took exception last year to Microsoft's unilateral withdrawal of accreditation from all repair engineers in the UK. This meant repairs being sent to Eastern Europe (IIRC Hungary). The networks were left facing angry customers and decided they didn't want to be in that position any longer, so mostly stopped stocking Microsoft phones, shortly before MS's decision to leave the market.

We were giving these away at work! we also had a load of 950/950 XL models we scrapped as no one wanted them.

    Good luck in your search!

Yes, the battery is kind of small at 2000 mah. However, I have not used mine much to really say how long the battery lasts. The couple of times I have used it, it seemed to be fine. I always have a charger nearby anyway.

As for alternatives - If you are seeking a windows phone, there are not too many out there.
