Just under 10k on a focus seems expensive, much cheaper options available.
Re your 000 score, what does Noddle and clearscore rate you as ?
Your husband losing his job should be the blessing in disguise, look at your spending habits and reduce them.0 -
YorkshireBoy wrote: »It seems you're in denial. In summary:
March 2016 - you committed to a £9,600 car finance.
July 2016 - you committed to a £2,000 sofa on finance.
August 2016 - just ONE MONTH LATER you had an unserviceable £4,300 credit card debt because your husband lost his job. That's a heck of a grocery shop in one month!
You need to realise that prior to your husband losing his job you WERE living beyond your means. Agree? Only when you do can you move on from this. Otherwise it'll happen again, when either he, or yourself, lose a job again.
Nope! I said 'this was August last year' as in 2016 then I said in the July before (2015) so not ONE MONTH BEFORE as you put it.
I don't really know to be fair, I just get the impression people put posts up and then the posts get ripped apart and blown out of proportion. This is in no way a criticism but just an impression I get that's all.0 -

Lol yes it would be wouldn't it. I said we bought a new car from Ford. I didn't actually say the car was a Ford. It's a Ford main dealer but they also sell part exchanges. This car is a 14 plate.0 -

. Maybe proof read next time? But to be fair, The £2,000 sofa the year before is the least of your worries. He lost his job between taking the car finance out in March 2016 and when you'd amassed a £4,300 credit card debt just 5 months later...yes? Unless we've misunderstood that as well and you meant something else?

I was in an IVA and had 16 defaults on my credit file, and still managed 246 on Noddle.

I actually said all of this happened while we were both working so where did you actually read that he lost his job between taking the car finance out? My husband lost his job at the end of August 2016 to be precise (do you require the exact date)?
See what I mean about threads being ripped apart? How has this all been blown out of proportion so much?
All people are doing now is pedantic now because I didn't give exact dates.0 -

Just to add on from my reply to you. The £4300 wasn't amassed in 5 months either. If you wouldn't mind showing me where I exactly said that It'd be grateful.
The credit card debt was over about 3 years.0 -
