Understanding Cavendish fund d performance information.

Please help me fully understand these performance figures.
Here is an example
Fidelity Index UK Fund P-Acc
1yr 15.58 percent return (cumulative)
3yr 24.30 percent return (cumulative)
3yr mean return is only 0.641 percent
I can not get my head around this figure
Looks too small for 1yr average return
Could it be average monthly return?
Benchmark Delta. Is that basically how well the fund is doing compared to expectations?
Any help would help or a point in the right direction towards some reading material that explains it.
Thanks you.

Sorry I can't point you in the direction of reading material, but I'd suggest you check the same data on Trustnet in case that makes it more understandable.
The three year mean return is about 7% - I don't know where you got your 0.641 percent from. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -
3 year annualised growth is 7.69% so there is something seriously wrong with your maths. This is much lower than the one year data because this fund took a serious hit in months 12-24, which is not surprising for a fund lacking global diversity and the companies it invests in.
Confused about the fund quoted in the title as it does not seem to exist.0 -
Thanks for your replies. It's not my math. It's what is on the Cavendish website.
I can only assume 0.641 is monthly growth. Because 0.641 x 12 = approx 7.68.
Do you think that is correct?0 -
We cant see the data you are referring to and it does not much indepednent data sites.
You will need to type out what it says.
Is it perhaps the return relative to benchmark? Being a tracker, most of its time it will spend just underperforming benchmark but occasionally it could just pop offer by a small amount. (i.e. are you looking at alpha, beta, information ratio etc?)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
You can find the fund from https://www.cavendishonline.co.uk/investments/fund-research/ and then search Fidelity funds for the OPs one. At the top of the performance tab it states "3-year mean Return 0.641%. Other funds all seem to have values of a similar order of magnitude.
I have no idea what it means! No number like 0.641% appears on Trustnet.0 -

They don't explain it, but it does rather look like that is the monthly mean.0
