asbestos water tank removal?

Have a look at my thread on asbestos, had a cowboy heating installer who broke high content asbestos paneling, and left a broken asbestos flue in my loft. I had to stay out of my house for 10 days until my house was declared safe.
The fact that the heating installer has told you tests should be done to determine what is asbestos, is a good sign. Get a few quotes and go with the one who strikes you as the most careful and knowledgeable.
As long as corners aren't cut and safety is considered, there's nothing to worry about.
Thank you. Since speaking to a few people, I do feel a bit more calm. The problem is the house is in the ideal location and it's rare things come up normally, let alone when the market is as quiet it is. I think reservations are because I have had to compromise to get the location, then the survey added on the things which need fixing. So I panicked about financials.
I have had a few quotes and they aren't too bad, and hopefully the tests will state that the rest of the house is okay. I'm doing this all on my own so feel quite alone in making decisions etc. I really appreciate useful help, thank you.0 -
If its in good condition I really wouldnt bother removing it. I really dont see the need. Removing it is more likely to cause damage to the tank. If your that bothered, paint it when its empty and chuck away the brush / remaining paint in the can.YNWA
