Bt said contract up

Rang bt had an enquiry abut our bt sports, they then said our broadband packages with them was up in a few days. Didn't like the price they gave so looked around found a new deal signed up. Then the next day received a email from bt saying it will cost x amount to leave them early! Any help much appreciated.

Check the contract you have with BT.

Perhaps the TV and Broadband are on separate contracts with separate end dates. BT like to a. have differing end dates for all elements to make it difficult to change and b. never to easily publish the information e.g. on your online account to make it easy. It may keep them some customers but it certainly alienates many more.
