How do I deal with an unprofessional plumber's work?

Do both as the bank will want to see you have at least tried talking to them first, before issueing a chargeback.
Whilst on the phone to your bank, see where you stand with asking for more than the £200 back, I doubt they will but you never know, but I can't see why they would not give you the £200 atleast as you did not authorise the withdrawal of that money.
Ok. Thanks for these suggestions.0 -
Don't get a pump fitted - you'll only run the tank dry and you'll be no further forward. Fortic tanks are rubbish - the pressure is always going to be very poor. I would have thought it would be much better to get an unvented mains pressure tank as a replacement. Alternatively you could probably have had a new combi boiler fitted for the money paid.
Not sure how you can sort this but I'd suggest you need to get rid of the Fortic as part of whatever you end up doing.0 -

Thanks for that advice. Useful to know that a pump won't improve things in a major way.
I emailed to ask the plumbing company to sort out this problem or give me a full refund. I'm unlikely to get the latter. They still haven't refunded the £200 cash deposit I was asked to pay before they started any work.0
