Plusnet mobile deal not working
Update: Many users have had the same issue I've described below. The Plusnet sales rep confirmed that. Anyone who wants to take advantage should call 0800 432 0080
But make yourself some tea and be patient. All in, it took me 40ish min!
I was trying to take advantage of the MSE Plusnet offer, but am having trouble with it. I have tried multiple times yesterday and again this morning. The minute I submit my payment details, the page loads a "temporarily not available" page. As you can imagine that's frustrating, but also disconcerting, as I have just submitted my payment info into the ether.
Does anyone experience the same issue?
I have contacted plusnet via chat and they said they are having problems. I was advised to call them, which I just tried, but after 10 min in the queue, I hang up.
Can you please help to sort this out? It's not the great experience I am used from MSE.

MSE can't do it for you if that's what you're asking.
Plusnets website frequently fails (I'm with them myself) so I'd phone them and just be patient.0 -
Thanks for the responses.
@ballyback, I have tried from two different computers and on two different browsers with the same effect.
@Colin Fair point. I just wanted to raise it here, as I figured I can't be only one facing this. I have been trying to call them multiple times, but have given up after 20 min in the queue. I will keep trying and be more patient this morning0 -
I had the same problem. After clearing cookies and trying three different browsers I gave up.
I tried to call and waited and waited then decided if it was this difficult to contact them as a new customer then I certainly wouldn't want to be an existing customer with a query.
Have decided I don't want the deal any more.0 -
MSE deals often generate a huge response. It appears Plusnet's sales teams can't cope with the response. I wonder if their after-sales team will be able to deal with the day to day issues arising from this promotion?0

Quick update. I called again at 8:45 this morning. This time I stuck with it and finally got the deal. The hold time was about 10-15 min and then it took another 25-30 min to finalise the sale over the phone. I should have my new SIM by tomorrow/Thu.
Call 0800 432 0080 and be patient to get the deal.
The sales agent was very helpful and ensured I understood all the terms. He acknowledged that some users had issues processing it on their web site. I understand that MSE typically generates massive volume on offers, but I'd think that a company like Plusnet would be more than ready for that. Especially given that they are part of BT and run a broadband service, but I digress.
Finally, important note for any expats or those of you with family abroad, the charges to call Europe are very expensive. It costs £1/min. That's a big downside for me, as I've been using Lycamobile for that reason. Though I am hopeful that the network is strong enough to handle WhatsApp or Skype calls instead.0 -
There does appear to be a problem with their website, you are not alone. People seem to have more luck with internet explorer, but may well be better phoning 0800 079 1133.

Once you're up and running you'll be fine as there is multiple ways of contacting them then. I signed up via website myself with no problems but there have been issues since and I've seen it be a bit flaky.0
