If you get a copy sent from the Probate Office it will have the embossed stamp that Is a certfied copy0

Don't use any of the ripoff merchants. Go directly to the Government Probate Office. Note that a number of these con men use similar titles to fool the unwary. Thgis ius the Offical site Use no other!

I cant think of a single reason why you would need a certified copy of a will that has already gone through probate. In fact its no use before then as you need the original for probate.0

Simply because some bureaucrats insist. A copy from the Probate Office is already certified by the embossed seal. Occasionally a foreign jurisdiction will want it certified by a notary public. This may happen where there is no will in the foreign jurisdiction and they use the UK one for probate.0
