Oh dear then she was told wrong! Pay for her age should be £3.50 per hour. See this link. https://successatschool.org/advicedetails/509/How-much-is-the-apprenticeship-wage%3FFeyfangirl wrote: »She was told thats what she is entitled to for her under eighteen age group

If you want to consider the benefit you will get for the time off work.
Check to see if "Universal Credit Full Service Area" (UCFSA) is in your postcode...
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/universal-credit-full-service-and-live-service
If it has you can claim UC as a sick person for the 2 weeks, I am not sure, but I imagine you would get £57 for the 2 weeks.
If it has not, you can claim ESA Income Related for the 2 weeks and will recieve £57. But you have to make the claim on 08000 556688
You would need an SSP1 from your employer and two fitnote (sicknote) from your doctor, 1 to be given to your employer, the other to be given to the jobcentre.
You cannot take holiday off work and claim benefit, this is only if you take the time off work as sick.
Sounds to me, taking it as holiday will pay you more.0
