Fuming! Absolutely fuming!

When I started on regular medications, I used a small independent, but they made so many mistakes that I moved to Boots,who have small pharmacy across the road from our GPs.


Luckily,I always aim to have at least a week's spares, as when I collected from the small pharmacy (the new prescription having been left at the previous collection ), on two or three occasions they claimed to have no prescription to dispense, only finding it after searching several disorganised piles of paperwork.


I have twice had unusual items prescribed, which are not regular Boots stock, so not available until the next day. Both times, as I have home delivery anyway, they made a special delivery next day.


Just last week, I tried to collect (on the day before delivery was due)as I had an appointment at the surgery, but was told my prescription wasn't ready as they were running behind. However,the lady did it straight away.


Next day, on opening the bag, I found that there was no tramadol so rang them, worried as I only had two days' supply due to having a mid prescription doubling of dose.


It was explained that the lady hadn't realised that I had tramadol (which has to be ordered on paper and not electronically) and action was quick as someone went across to the surgery to get a prescription for delivery next morning.
