I'm still no wiser about these 2 bills going out, will wait until Monday to see and if they've not gone out the money will be heading straight to savings. Will look into Premium Bonds over the weekend.

Ds1 has a high temperature tonight. He's had a really rough week poor thing. He has had paracetamol and ibuprofen. His temp has started to come down. He was asleep within minutes of going up to bed. I just want him to be all better again.

Dh sold another item on facebook today for £15. We're going to use the money to treat ourselves to a couple of steaks from the butcher to have once the children are in bed tomorrow night. I am assuming there will be change from £15!!

Tesco shop coming tomorrow, and it is an expensive one. I'm stocking up on wine/prosecco for Christmas with the 25% offer. We're running out of a few freezer bits and store cupboard bits as well. Add to that a few toiletries that we need, nappies and laundry stuff as well as our usual food and we have an expensive shop

Ds1 was sick again late last night. That's day 4 of it. I have ordered dioralyte to come with our food shop today. This is one horrible bug. If he's still being sick by Monday, I think I'll have to give the doctor a ring. We'll be reaching day 7 of it by then. He's barely eating as it is and then being sick every night.

Fingers crossed, no one else seems to have caught it so far. I'm being super strict with hygiene and we're spending a fortune using the super long hottest washes on the washing machine!

It's a new money week for us. Once the food shop comes we should have around £35 for the week. We may have ds2's nursery pictures to pay for as well as tickets to see ds1's Christmas nativity (will be ringing the school to check on Monday if he's not back - don't want them all to go!!). That won't leave much left - though thinking about it the nativity tickets should come from the Christmas pot!

Ds1 just got up to go the toilet so I checked his temperature and it's down to 36.6. Much better!!

I need to also double check with the school, but I'm assuming we won't have to pay for school dinners for the 3 days ds1 was off ill. I pay on a Monday for the week, which means next week will be £7.50 cheaper. I'll send that over to savings.

Sorry to hear he is still Ill, hope he gets better soon x
  • Poor thing. It does sound nasty. I really hope no one else gets poorly and he's better really soon.

You wouldn't normally pay for dinners if you don't have them, so that should be a win for you.

Hope you manage to have a nice weekend, despite poorliness.

I sent dh to the butchers. He got 2 for under £8!! :rotfl: I'm amazed and actually questioned how many he bought!! There are 2 butchers in town, and he actually went to the most expensive one!! He's definitely on board with the money saving!!

Poor DS, MrsS I hope he's feeling better soon. I work in a school and we have a horrible sickness bug making its way round at the moment, poor kids :(.

I wouldn't have thought you would pay for the dinners, we don't at ours only if they take the meal.

Yay to the steaks, such a bargain xx

So far today ds1 has seemed better. I won't be convinced though until he goes all night without being sick!!! He's eaten far more 'normal' today than he has been so the signs are good. Also, still not quite ready to uncross the fingers, but so far no one else here seems to have picked it up. There's still time, though!!

The steaks were delicious (obviously well cooked :rotfl: ). 2 empty plates at the end!!
