It was lovely!! We go through stages where we eat far too many, but this was the first in a long time......I was so excited :rotfl:

Last night's takeaway cost £20.50 and we've got leftovers. It's my turn to sleep in this morning, so even though I've been awake since before anyone else in this house, I'm now staying in bed on the mse site whilst they're all playing downstairs :rotfl:

We're going to take a walk this morning to watch the Remembrance Sunday parade, followed by a roast dinner using one of my half price chickens. I may cook the chicken soon so it'll be ready before we go out, and then it's just the rest I'll need to think of when we get back.

This afternoon we're planning a film and popcorn/hot chocolate once ds2 is in bed. We recorded Paddington when it was on last weekend so we're going to watch that. It will probably then mean me budgeting a cinema trip to see Paddington 2 next month (or I could use Tesco vouchers as I have loads!!).

I've checked the accounts this morning, but nothing really changes at the weekend os it was a 2 second job!

We watched Paddington, but after the popcorn and hot chocolate ran out ds1 decided to pull out his fancy dress stuff and play upstairs. He's just decided the house needs vacuuming (he's probably right!!) dressed as superman!! I'm not complaining!! Dh and I watched the rest of the film (well actually, Dh watched the rest of the film, I fell asleep before the end and snoozed on the sofa for a good hour!!).

As he got fed up half way through, I don't think I'll spend the money taking ds1 to the cinema so will probably wait until the film comes out on DVD next year!! Sunday roast was lovely (my favourite meal of the week!!). Today has been a nsd. Tomorrow there will be planned spends of nursery, dinner money, mortgage and house insurance, but they all come out of the bills account so I'm planning no other spends (a nsd).

    Monday morning!!

    Today's list:
    • Find the bottom of the laundry basket, first load on
    • Vacuum downstairs, done
    • Re-count 20ps, done - up to £18.......£2 needed to bank the whole lot. Also bagged £1 of 1ps and £1 of 2ps
    • Check accounts, done
    • All meals from stores done

It's not a nsd today, as we ran out of eggs. We walked the school run this morning, and then popped to the shop to pick some up on the way home. I paid cash, so didn't effect ynab and I got a 20 pence piece change for the Christmas pot, and a 50 pence piece for ds1's school fruit money.

I feel like we do at least 1, if not 2 or 3 loads of laundry a day, but the basket is never empty! I'm on a mission today to empty it!! Ds1 vacuumed upstairs yesterday, so I've done downstairs this morning. I'm going to see if I can do a couple more surveys today, but they're still seeming very slow.

I found the bottom of the laundry basket......briefly! Ds2 needed a change of clothes after lunch :rotfl: I've also managed to finish sorting ds2's next size clothes out. He will need a couple of new bits but not many and I won't need to sort it for a few weeks so I'll wait for a low spend week!!

That's another Monday done :) £1.29 spent on eggs and other than planned bills that was it. Laundry has been done, house vacuumed, dinner home cooked, and lots of other bits and bobs done. I've managed to reach another £2.75 survey payout :j and Dh came home with a cheque for me to pay in for taking our old cooker to scrap. Almost £40 so not bad for something that had given up!! I'll take that to the bank to pay in tomorrow.

Ds1 does need another school jumper so will use part of that £40 for that. One went missing at school a few weeks ago and has never returned and I'm needing to put a wash on almost every day (school dinner usually ends up all over him!!). Dh is back at work tonight. He's doing a lot of overtime at the moment, which will be nice when he gets paid!!!

Most of my list has been done. I forgot to take ds1 to buy a new school jumper after school, and now I'm working the rest of the week so I'll have to do it at the weekend or next week. It does mean another load of laundry tonight, followed by the tumble dryer as both jumpers are dirty! Typical!!

We had pasta tonight, and I made loads......enough for 2 lunches at work for me and for dh. The third day I'll have a tuna sandwich. I got a tin of tuna through the post today (I think I mentioned I was being sent one!!) to trial. I had half in a sandwich at lunch time, so I'll have the rest maybe Thursday. That's this week's lunches sorted.

I spent ds2's nap time working on our budget and spreadsheets today. I generally use a spreadsheet alongside ynab, mainly because I'm a geek and love spreadsheets!! I've worked out how much we can save over the next 12 months on our basic wages, without any overtime from dh or bonuses. I've also decided to add a new category - Summer holiday activities. I figured I wouldn't miss £10 per month, but it would be very handy by the Summer holidays for days out.

I'm working the rest of the week now, so should be lsds if not nsds. I think I'll be getting a bill from after school club tomorrow, and possibly another one on Friday for swimming, but they're all budgeted for.

Work today. I've checked the bank accounts and ynab this morning and all good. I can't believe we're half way through November already. I started planning our Christmas food shop last night. The aim was to make a list under favourites on the website, but it seems that since Tesco changed their website, they're having difficulty with it so I couldn't do that. Instead I just added things to the app so that when the Christmas delivery slot opens I'm ready to go! I couldn't believe how much it came to though!! Thankfully I have money put aside!!!

Today should be a nsd. I'll probably get the bill for after school club, but I'll pay it next week when he's in next. Tonight's dinner will be going in the slow cooker in a bit. Balsamic braised beef. All I'll need to do tonight will be to put some potatoes on and some veg - they'll go in the steamer.

    Right, I'd better move!

I stopped off on the way home from work and managed to catch the school uniform shop before they closed. My account is now £11 lighter but ds1 has another school jumper!! That has been my only spend today.

I might have another look at the tesco Christmas shop tonight, and bring the price down a little. It seems so silly to spend so much on 1 week! I've had a look tonight at how much we've spent on groceries/toiletries/etc so far this month after the ridiculous almost £400 spend last month. Half way through the month, and we're at £141.53. That's a definite improvement, but still plenty of room to tighten our belts. Hopefully formula will reduce by quite a bit soon, so that will bring things down even further. Fingers crossed we come in at our £300 target for the month.

I'm going to see if I can find any surveys tonight. I haven't had a prolific one in almost a week!!
